Hoping somebody might have some information on a Benjamin Davis and his wife Hannah Davis formely Jarmain .Benjamin was a farmer he and his wife had a daughter not sure if anymore children she came to Australia not sure if a convict any information would be appreciated. Jane born Sussex.

I know you said 1820's, but do you have any dates of birth for Benjamin and Hannah?

Is Jane their daughter?  Do you know when she was born?

Do you know where in Australia they went to?

Also, you have posted this on the Sussex board. Are you hoping to trace the family in Sussex or Australia, or both?

Dates are vague. They will need to be checked.

There is a record on Ancestry of a Benjamin Davis being transported to Australia 3 April 1830, convicted 19 December 1829 on the Lady Feversham, place of conviction Sussex.

No scrub that, on the convict muster his estimated date of birth is 1811.

However on the New South Wales, Assisted Immigrants Passenger List there is the following

No Benjamin or Hannah with them although curiously a Hannah Cuckney born 1793 on the same boat, also from Ewhurst, Sussex and the record shows the above as her children!
