My grandfather James Lynch Ferrigan, was b. Edinburgh, March 7, 1863, illigitimate son of Mary Ferrigan. We have suspected he was the son of James Lynch. My brother sent his DNA in to A******y and we recently recieved the results. Ancestor match within 9 generations, approx. 225 years. The 2 closest matches were 2 men with the surname Lynch. We are now almost 100% certain that James Lynch was my grandfathers father.
Looking for any imformation about the Lynch family in Ireland. Maybe a marriage between James Lynch and Ann Rooney. Any help in finding information about these people will be rewarded with a good shot of whiskey!!Unfortunatly I havn,t a clue as to where in Ireland to start looking myself.
Hoping for the best.
Mary
