Can't say thank you enough - this is the Francis family I'm looking for  :)

My mistake name should have read JACOB b1870 Cardiff St. John and not JAMES  :-[

So it would appear the family were living at the same address from 1871 - 1881

Fantastic info. especially 1901c - only knew about two children born to Jacob & Catherine - ie Hannah & William Francis he was my gg grandfather .

Can't wait for the 1911 census.

My next task is to try and find Jacob's (b1870)  father Jacob FRANCIS b1842 Monmouth with his parents William & Mary on 1841c probably need to post for Monmouth as they were living there in 1851  :-\

Thanks again
Ladyhawk :)

think Mary is 19 months - at least the 19 is in the box for her age. Hamlet name is Llanvedow, (Llanfedw), one of those pesky places that straddles county boundaries.

parish records will be going online soonish by the looks of it?

William Francis married Mary Lewis 7/5/1816, both of Bassaleg, witnesses Hannah Thomas & Charles Francis.

Haven't found William's baptism as yet, but there's a couple called Charles & Ann Francis having children in Bassaleg around the time, including a son called Charles bp 26/8/1798
