Sorry, MrNZ; I hold no pictures of people. Only places. And I can't, normally, provide individual streets either.

Hi,  Would you have any images of the bombing at Garnier Street Portsmouth in March 1941?  My grandmother and her brother were living at No.32 which was bombed, and unfortunately my uncle died the same day.

Also, anything of St Marys Church, Milton?  My grandmother married there in 1942.

Many thanks,

Julie

Julie; St Marys church, Milton? Bit of a stretch to put in Milton. Fratton, more like. Ye mean the big, c of e one? I'm guessing so. Because I know of no other St Marys churches.

Anyway, yes, I can do ye St Mary's all day long. Must have hundreds of images of it down the ages. I'll try to sort some which may closest match the period for ye. It changes quite a bit, see?

Garnier St? I can't even remember where that is now. I'm guessing my oppo, the other Steve, will be seeing this. He has a complete copy of my folders. And he did some truly monumental work helping put names to places. He'd know better where to look.

We do have some shots of razed places. I remember the fun we had, trying to figure them out! Definitely his stronger point though. If he doesn't pop up, I'll do my best. Can't promise anything though.

PM me an addy and I'll shoot the church shots over.
