samuel the fathers age seems to be a bit out 40 in 1861 58 in 1871
will recheck 1871 census

the image definitely shows 58 in 1871 and 40 in 1861

Strangely he does not appwear on the Cambs Baptismal Index?

this is strange on the 1861 their is a son nathaniel
so they should all be together in orsett in 1851

there is a marriage in 1819 in chesterton,cambs of a samuel shelford and elizabeth northfield
maybe this could be samuels parents
