« on: Sunday 31 January 10 07:37 GMT (UK) »
Can some one check these names as they disappear off the records from the 1891 Census and 1901 Census. No deaths records either. Nothing on 1911 Census either

Andrew George Johnson b. abt 1845 Gottenburg, Sweden profession Seaman
Margaret Lindburg b. abt 1850 Thorsby, Lincolnshire
Marriage: 4 Sep 1871 Hull, Yorkshire
Resided in Grimsby.
No family recollection as to what happened to them
Thanks

Hi

On the 1891 Census there is an Andrew JOHNSTON born Sweden, aged 46, married, occupation Ship's Rigger.  This might be your man.  I will see if I can find his wife for you.

Should have warned you about the possibility of finding other Andrew Johnson's from Sweden. He always used a middle name of Jaz or George. On the Marriage certificate it was Andrew George Johnson age 27.

Of course, being a sailor, he could well have been at sea when the Census was taken.

Sorry I confused you I do have the 1891. What I meant to say was they disappeared after 1891 that is, they are not on the 1901 or 1911 Census and no death record. Sorry about that.

No worries.... there is an Andrew JOHNSON on the 1911, born about 1870 and in Grimsby Linc.  Also in the house is Elizabeth Agnes aged 41, George William aged 17, James Alfred aged 15, Agnes Clementine aged 2mths and William aged 43.
