Hi, sounds like were related!!  My grandfather was Peter Finnigan who married Ethel the surname was "Sladen".  Her grandfather was no lord (as I have researched the family) but his uncle was knighted and his other uncle was related by marriage to Lord Roberts..and his grandfather was a General in the East India Co.  But going back to the Finnigan side, do you know any more about your grandfather? I have some more information on Patrick's siblings and his children.  Was it ture about John Finnigan going to New York Empire State Building etc?

Forgive me  going slightly off topic  and introducing  a note  of humour,  but there is a limerick featuring the name  Michael Finnigan,  has anyone else with Irish Ancestors heard it?
