Dates of birth, please, from Cartes de Visite - Page 19

I have my grandmother's grandmother's album of some 200 Cartes de Visite, with not very many of them identified.    I have scanned front & back, and the empty pages.

"It would be nice" to have some dates (from the fashions) and estimated ages, i.e. dates of birth - and names !
I'm posting the lo-res versions, so please don't bother to try to improve any of these !
-----------------------------
I am gathering the comments to store in a file alongside the pictures, and, when finished, it will be quite a task to analyse them all and draw deductions as to the identity of some currently unknown !

For Page 18, see http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,439242.0.html
which also contains links to previous pages.

Here's Page 19, which gives a name for 19D :-

Here's 19A, a "classic" in its way !   BUT... it doesn't say WHEN the pic was taken.  :(

My father's mother's father's mother was Martha Hammond Thornewill nee Wright (1806-1889), one of the Wrights of Eyam, and this Carte de Visite is in her Album.  I suspect the Colonel was a relation of hers - perhaps even a first cousin or an uncle.

Here are 19B and 19C.  I know NOTHING about either sitter !

So ANY information you might be able to offer would be very welcome.

And here is 19D, of Charles Page, as I now know from the inscription in the Album itself.

If that is correct, of course !

I have only this evening discovered that The Colonel was actually the grandfather of the daughter-in-law of Martha, the owner of the Album !   They have the same surname, so may also be related !

N O W !!!

The Colonel (19A) was born in Feb 1787 - if he really was 16 1/2 in Aug 1803 - and it wasn't until he was 48 (!) that he was promoted to Captain, in 1832, the year his son Barrington Stafford Wright was born at Woolwich.   The son became a clergyman.

The back of pic 19A says the Colonel died on 13 March 1873, which agrees with the data from the Museum.  He would have been 86.   The inscription says "Aged 84", so that must(?) refer to his age when the pic was taken, rather than his age at death.  That would mean the pic was taken in 1871; when his son was 39 - does the man in 19B look 39 ?  Is he wearing a "dog-collar" ?

I wonder if pic 19B, the adjacent pic to of the Colonel in 19A, is that of his son ?

Whaddya think ?

Any estimate, please, of date (from the fashion) and estimated age, i.e. date of birth of the man in 19C ?

And, if you recognise him, his name, please !

Hi Robin, I think 19A and 19B could well be father and son in terms of likeness.  The noses have it, in my view.

As to whether 19B could be aged 38, I think that sounds a reasonable estimate.

Hope that helps

That's what we thought, too.

... or even 39    ;)

Thank you for your opinion.

If no-one disagrees, I think we'll assume that is the case !
