Many thanks Rachel. My wife was pleased to read her grandfathers engraving on the window ''Fred Holling High Class Fruit Stores'' According to her mother my wife as a two year old was sat in the window and a man wanted to buy her. She cried her eyes out so it brings back memories.

Grateful Ron

Hi Ron
Would you like colour ?

Some people dislike it but if you're in favour,
do you know what colour the shop front would have been ?

Any chance of a better scan ? Can't quite read the 'RE-OPENING' notice in the window  >:(

Sorry no idea of colour - before my time - but would appreciate a coloured version. There was not a lot of decoration done in the twenties so the colour would be pre-world war one, if that helps.   Unable to improve scan unfortunately. We too were intrigued by the notice in the window. Regards Ron

There are some bits I'm not happy with anyway
