Hello. This is a very kind offer. If possible and not too much trouble, could you please look up the following:

William Youngson married Elizabeth Doig 25/2/1833 in Parish of Dundee

Batch No M112825
Dates 1820-1854
Source Call No: 0993404
Film
Printout Call: 6902959

Ages of William & Elizabeth would be appreciated (hopeful that it will tie in with a William Youngson born 21/9/1809 and possibly Elizabeth Doig born 7/6/1812). Looking also  for any possible info on parents names or indeed anything else that may be recorded, to help me tie in with my own findings.

Thanks, in advance, for your help.

Hi Fifer

Thank you so much for taking the time to check for me, I don't know if it is my Margaret McAlpin but I am certainly keeping a note of details just in case, her mother was called Margaret McAlpin, never thought of checking for any more McAlpin's in Stockport so if you have the name I would appreciate if you could let me know them.

Again thank you

Jackie

Hi Fifer

Thanks for the reply and the answer is yes all the kids were born in Nairn
I also know that  Isabella McIntosh born 1830 came to Australia in 1854 and settled here.
I don't know what happened to the rest of the family.

Re same family as above:

William Youngson married Elizabeth Doig 25/2/1833 in Parish  of Dundee

Just realised you said you may have access to 1841 and 1851 Census returns.

Trying to tie down William and Elizabeth Youngson with their children Isobel, David, and John (John would probably only be in 1851 census)  Sorry, don't have a district within Dundee.

Anything you may find would be welcome, and very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance  :).

Really, really sorry to ask for another lookup but having problems tying this one down as my Ann Flinn and her parents don't seem to have been born in Dundee although Ann did marry there (to David Youngson in 1861).

Here goes,
2nd June 1854 an Owen Flinn married a Mary Farril

details of IGI are Batch No.: M112825 Dates:  1820 - 1854   Source Call No.: 0993404   Type:  Printout Call No.:  Type:  Film  6902959

I am trying to trace info on an Ann Flinn daughter of Owen Flinn and Catherine Fitzsimmons and am hopeful that this Owen Flinn marriage may be her brother (or, possibly, a re-marriage of her father) as she herself named one of her own son's Owen Flinn Youngson.

As before, anything you may find would be most welcome, in particular, if Owen's parents are a match for Ann's, then their marriage date/place would be a huge help to me.

I suppose if Ann's parents also lived in Dundee, she may be with them on an 1851 Census, although obviously I don't know exact area.

Huge thanks, in advance, yet again for any help you can give....it really, really is so much appreciated.

I am looking for my 5th gr-grandfather JAMES REID and I am wondering if you might be able to locate a death record or if you have access to the 1851 or 1861 census that may help me locate a death record.  I have found his wife’s death record in 1863 in Bridgeton, Glasgow, and she was a widow at the time, but I’ve been unable to locate info on him.

I believe he was born Apr 1777 in Renfrew, Renfrew, Scotland.  He married CRAWFORD WARNOCK 26 Dec 1802 in Renfrew, Renfrew, Scotland, daughter of THOMAS WARNOCK and AGNES MCMOULTRY.  She was born Abt. Jul 1779 in Greencock, Renfrew, Scotland

Children of JAMES REID and CRAWFORD WARNOCK are:
   i.   JAMES  REID, b. 28 Apr 1803.
ii.   THOMAS REID, b. 23 Jan 1805, Renfrew, Scotland.
iii.   AGNES REID, b. 21 Jan 1807, Renfrew, Scotland.
iv.   MARY REID, b. 20 Feb 1810, Renfrew, Scotland; d. 11 Mar 1892, Glasgow, Scotland; m. JOHN SPENCER, 04 Jun 1830, Parish Church of Eastwood, Renfrew, Scotland
   v.   MARGARET REID, b. 15 Aug 1813, Renfrew, Scotland.
vi.   JOHN REID, b. 21 Oct 1815, Renfrew, Renfrew, Scotland.
vii.   JANET REID, b. 16 Jun 1818, Renfrew, Scotland.
   viii.   WILLIAM REID, b. 09 Nov 1821.

Anything found would be sincerely appreciated.
Thanks
Wendy

No problem...your offer was very generous and I am sure no one minds waiting....take your time and don't feel you are being pressured, if you can't manage to do it then don't worry, just say.......you are lucky to have a centre nearby and those of us who don't really do appreciate someone offering look-ups at them but please, not if it hinders your own personal researching.

I for one am more than happy to wait.  :)

Fifer, I am so sorry as I know you are busy but I just received a death record today that gave me some more leads that i am dying to trace...

I am looking for the birth of a Jessie Kennedy.  Her death record in the US says she was born on May 16, 1872 in Glasgow, Scotland.  Her parents were  WIlliam Kennedy and Annie Jamerson (it is hard to read so name could be Jaimeson).  I would like to confirm this.

THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOO much.!  I have Jessie's portrait on my dining room wall and know next to nothing about this woman.  - Kristin
