Roots chat goes to spam (Completed)
« on: Tuesday 27 April 10 02:28 BST (UK) »
Why do my messages go to the spam folder?  I am getting very annoyed with this happening.  I even have rootschat on my addresses to prevent this from happening.
And today there were no posts even in spam folder, but once I went into rootschat there was a unread message.

On another note, those who are worried about email addresses being hacked by another computer.  I have done what a cousin suggested.  At the top of all your email addresses add aaaa@aaa.aa there is no such address, and when a hacker tries to get all your contacts they can not, due to not being able to access the first address.  Safe and simple.

Cheers

Yesterday I got no notifications and so did a few other Rootschatters, there is a thread in the Common Room, so that could be why your spam folder was spam free. :D

Spam folder every time,  so you can see my frustration when I have to go into yahoo and move to in box. >:(
Even my genius computer expert of a son can not work it out.
Forever getting things sent to me regarding computers, and those painful chain letters saying send onto 12 friends for good luck, what to do with those?  DELETE.

If it's on Yahoo once you mark something as NOT SPAM,it 'should' go into the correct place next time.......mine always has.

I had the same problem as you ,even after notifying rootschat messages as NOT SPAM.
Then tried adding rootschat address to my contacts list (I don't usually keep a contacts list in this particular account because I was spammed a couple of years ago & what a fiasco that was ::))
Anyway, that did the trick,so maybe it will for you :)
