Death in Granville NSW

I live in England and trying to trace George Shepperson born 1842 Bingham Nottinghamshire. I have located a death record in the Australian records on Ancestry for a George Shepperson in 1912 Granville NSW Reg No 5963
parents Samuel & Jane. The only thing that draws me to this record are the parents as I know his parents were called Samuel & Jane. I am possibly clutching at straws but I would like to get hold of this record to see if he is the one I'm after. Can anybody tell me how I go about obtaining this record? Many thanks Ladyt

Select deaths and put in your chaps details and then search, the record will come up and on the right hand column is an option to buy now. If you buy online it is relatively cheap.

A cheaper option is a transcription agent. In NSW we have three and all come highly recommended.

Contact them with the information you have and they will email you a transcribed version of your certificate.

Are you able to tell us whether  GEORGE was a married man?

Hi Sue, I don't know if he's married - not sure if he belongs to me. He had a brother Henry who went to Australia in 1864. I have him as a probable death in UK only because I couldn't trace him after the 1861 census. Whilst looking for info on Henry/Harry i came across the death record for George and thought he could belong only because the parents were named as Samuel and Jane - his parents names. I know there are plenty of Samuels and Janes as parents but thought too much of a coincidence not to research him. I can't find any emigration records for him but thought as I couldn't find him here he may have followed his brother to Australia.

Not knowing anything about  your GEORGE makes searching hard.

I don't know if he came to Australia at all it was only while looking for Henry that I saw the record. As he has disappeared from any records in the UK assumed he followed brother to Australia. I don't know much about him only that he was born 1842 Bingham Nottinghamshire and was a Labourer. I'm prob barking up the wrong tree - there must be quite a few Geo Sheppersons in Australia so its a bit of a long shot really. Thanks for looking anyway. Ladyt
PS I saw that record for Henry - everything but the date - the most important bit!
