FamilySearch - Has anyone been successful ...
« on: Saturday 25 September 10 21:20 BST (UK) »
I am at the labs.familysearch.org and after doing a search, I clicked on a particular promising entry.  After notating the film, vol, etc information ... there's a link to search the collection ... then you can choose the digital folder. A viewer comes up on the next screen stating loading image ... but nothing ever happens. I've tried it on several entries.

Has anyone been able to view these images yet? Or it is just me?

Can you explain what information you searched for to get to the stage of clicking on the link? (not all parts of the LDS Pilot Search site have images available)

Give a man a record and you feed him for a day.
Teach a man to research, and you feed him for a lifetime.

Hi Barbara
I tried 1 entry and it opens just fine for me. It does say you need Adobe reader which is easy to download if you don't have it.

Think we need to wait for Barbara to give us more details so that we can answer her question.

Sorry for the delay - been immersed in entry new genealogy information into my website and the power was out for a bit this morning.

Yes, on the labs.familysearch.org website.

I was doing a search for Josephine Neary. She died in Kilkenny, Ireland in 1995. I think she was born roughly 1900-1915 - supposedly my grandfather's first cousin ... just trying to figure out how and begin the digging into the Neary family beginning with her.

I do have Adobe (updated version). I received no error messages at all. It just "hangs" on "Loading Image ...".

I did search for random name combinations and tried the same thing ... and got the same results - no images load. So, it did not matter the person, I couldn't get any digital folder images to show.

I thought it was my internet connection, but I was able to get around the internet with no problems, even heavily scripted sites.  Same thing today.

*shrugs* It just don't like me.  hehehe

SO, what type of information are on the digital folder images?????? Worth me worrying about?

Thanks for everyone's responses and help!
