My grandad was born in york in 1903 ,went to Ireland then in 1919 back to York and he lived there until 1930,before moving to surrey .Grandad had an older brother ernest as well as younger sisters .
I have little info on who my great grandparents were,apart from thier names.Harry gilbert and lizzy (Fitzsimmons) .I cannot  trace where Harry originated from however Lizzie came from dublin Ireland .I am hoping that Harry snr or ernest came from staffordshire? By the way ernest was born in 1897 somewhere in england.I know its not much ,but im stuck!!

Please can anyone point me in a direction?

1911 Ireland census has this family
Harry Gilbert 36 head C of E   chaffeur b England  married 15 years
Lizzie 30 wife b Co Dublin
Ernest 13 son scholar b England
Harry 6 son ditto b ditto
Lilly 4 dau ditto b ditto
Laura 3mths dau citizen of Dublin
Mansion House Pembroke Lane Dublin
Russells in Westmorland,Lancashire<br />Rileys Halifax,Rochdale<br />Graingers Hull Yorks<br />Coles Northampton<br />Transcribed the whole of Westmorland 41 census<br />and Rochdale 61 <br /><br />Census information Crown Copyright, from www.nationalarchives.gov.uk
