Son of Joseph Roberts(1828) and Lucy Morcom(1826)
Found on 51,61,71 census
Marriage Cert Redruth Q1 1873 5c370 not indexed properly, wifes name not transcribed in index. Believed to be Mary Ann Chinn, but could be her second marriage - Chinn - maiden name or first married name - I dont know.

Not found on 81,91,01 - then found on 1911 with a granddaughter age 15, Gwendoline Mary. 3 children all deceased.

Can anyone help fill in the missing details:

Parents of Gwendoline -
gwendoline on 1901 Census -but doint confuse with another Gwendoline Mary 1 year age differnece from Liskeard.

Absolutely no luck with your Gwendoline Mary in the 1901. Have tried all sorts of combinations of names but nothing.

I neeed to study this - one point stands out on 1881
There are 5 children, 2 of them are YATES
the other 3 are ROBERTS - but look at the ages and the marriage dates.
and the date of YATES death.

Does Joseph on 91 = James on 81? According to 1911 they only had 3 children.

Hi Allans,

Certainly a few inconsistencies (probably only certs will clarify) but crisane's finds do seem to tie up the three names CHINN/ YATES and ROBERTS. Seems they were together for a few years before they married.

The question actually asked in the 1911 census is "Children born alive to present marriage" therefore the Yates children would not count.

Not a very accurate entry but I think this is the family in 1901 Gwendoline = Winnie
