As there are still folks yet to watch Tina's episode, I'm not going to say much tonight. All I'll say at the moment is that it held me enthralled..........and a couple of times I just had to say out loud    "Welcome to the world of family history, Tina!"   ;)   :D

Yes, it certainly changed her opinions of her immediate family and opened her eyes about her ancestors.   I hope she has the 'bug' now and keeps going - though everything was handed to her on a platter wasn't it?
Overall, I enjoyed it
Kind regards
Bev

I've got some really interesting ancestors - including three whom I can't find - I'd love some experts to do a job on my family and hand it all to me like that!!!!
That is the only bit that rankles - obviously has to be like that for the programme - but it isn't like that in real life!!!     ;)

I have never really liked Tina Arena and last nights show didn't change my opinion (if anything it enhanced it). Although as a son of an Italian born father I did enjoy a few leads and places that I should visit next time I visit the relations. Dad was not from Sicily, he was from Abruzzo, so hopefully they have the same records office available to the public.

The story about the Italian wedding reminded me about my grandparents marriage. They were only allowed to see each other three times before they were married and then were not allowed to see each other for 12 months after that. 9 months after they were finally allowed to see each other and live together my father was born!

Hi again,
I'm glad someone else said it, but she always seems too artificial to me as well.
Kind regards
Bev
