1886 Search or after please, Mc Lean County Illinois
« on: Monday 20 December 10 16:13 GMT (UK) »
This record of marriage for Rovina Woodruff, who is my great aunt, is the only thing I can find for her in USA.

McLean County, Illinois, USA  http://www.cyberdriveillinois.com/departments/archives/marriage.html KELSEY, WILLIAM F married WOODRUFF, ROVINA 4 Dec 1886 Vol 00J Page 0061 MC LEAN County, Illinois.

She was born in Dublin Ireland March 1868 to a serving  soldier father William and mother Mary.  Last found in Deal Kent in a convent, boarder. No details for her husband have come to light so far although he says he was born in Kent on 1900 census in Illinois.

I would appreciate a look up for any emigration, census, death, remarriage etc for her and her family.

They had a son John W Kelsey in 1896 and he died in Peoria in 1922 is all I can find for him and husband William Kelsey says on 1900 census in Bloomington that he is divorced and a Roomer.

Many thanks,
Calmar

;D
That looks like here with her parents details matching!!!!

Thank you very much for that info merjones ;)

3 marriages!! and all those children, she had been busy. I can't find details for the Frederick and Gertrude but both names are in her family, so I guess that is another clue.

Have you got census details info that I could search for on Ancestry please.

Again my thanks and a Happy Chritmas to you.

Kind regards,
Calmar

Thomas Montgomery must have adopted Fred Kelsey because on his WWI Draft Registration card he is registered as:

FRED MONTGOMERY born June 5, 1894 in Chicago, Illinois and resides at 234 Louisa, Peoria, Illinois in 1917 and he is married to the former Pearl Kirkwood and he is a chauffeur.

I found Frances and Theresa Eberle in 1920 at the "Guardian Angel Industrial and Training School" in Peoria.  I wonder where their parents were.

Many thanks again for those records. I wonder if Rovina divorced Thomas Montgomery as I think he is married again on 1930 census!!

I managed to find the records for  the girls in the Institution I will try and find out what sort of place it was.

Kind regards,
Calmar

I think this is probably Thomas Montgomery, her son:

Name: Thomas Montgomery, 19, born 1901 Illinois
Home in 1920: San Diego, California, United States, Military and Naval Forces
