Can anyone translate LATIN please

I am researching the Schellenberg family and google came up with the following relating to a Johann Gottried Schellenberg who we have on our family tree.  Please can anyone translate.

De curvarum algebraicarum ramis in infinitum excurrentibus (Dirksen)   9.12.1835

It's Latin anyway. (I've changed the title of your message to say Latin now - hopefully somebody may spot it easier).

Never done latin, but it looks like a mathematical theory paper on

"Cuvarum" is curves
"algebraicarum" I'd imagine is algerbra
"infinitum" is infininite

This is a pure guess but is it a paper on the "The algebra of a curve of its infintite segments"

Hopefully somebody with a grasp of Latin will be able to to help more.

It seems to be title page of the PhD?  thesis defence of Johann Gottfried Schellenberg at the university litteraria berlionesi (Berlin?) Frederica Guilelma

In Germany (and other european countries) to get a PhD one oftem gives a  public defence of the thesis involving a presentation by the candidate and then questioning by examiners (and possibly members of the public) I think the format varies a bit from place to place.
I'd guess that the title of his thesis was:
"De curvarum algebraicarum ramis in infinitum excurrentibus"

.....just looked it up in google....it is from a PhD disertation at the Humboldt university Berlin. He was awarded the PhD in maths on the 9.12.1835 apparently.

They seem to have the details from a book:

Probably the CV part of the thesis must be the most interesting from a family history point of view....but for some of it you need someone with really good latin.

My literal translation of the title is "Of the algebraic curves of a branch in infinite projections", but I suspect "ramis" ("branch") has a mathematical meaning I don't know.  I'll have a stab at the CV when I get a chance, if you like!
