John PRUDHAM 1807 - 1889

Does anyone have any informaion on John Prudham (1807 Yorkshire - 1889 Kilbride, Ontario, Canada.  He married Elizabeth Foster of Ireland, in Ontario 1839.
More specifically his parentage, etc.
Would like to uncover this.

I haven't found his parentage yet but I have found a photo of him and Elizabeth and family at their house in Canada in 1888...........

Using familysearch.org, I can only find 2 John Prudham's in Yorkshire anywhere near 1807.

First was baptised 15 Nov 1802 in Egton, Yorkshire, father shown as Edward Prudham
Second was baptised 11 Feb 1815 in Egton, Yorkshire. Parents shown as george and Elizabeth Prudham.

Even if these two aren't your John, it could be that he was from the Egton area of Yorkshire, which is about 4 miles south west of Whitby.

The Mc  -  Just after I made the post I realized there were three Yorkshire areas, so not sure I am even in the right "Yorkshire". 
That being said, I have seen the picture (your link) before and often visit the site as the area is a hotbed of my mother's side of the family
The child Charles in the picture is my maternal Grandfather and raised his family there.  I have stayed at the home myself as a boy.  It should be pointed out that the house still stands and was not demolished in 2005 as noted in the picture caption. 
Trish1120  -  You are right that the children's names can present a clue.  There is a Hannah amongst the children.  Also from a Family Reunion booklet of 1928 John's birth year is listed as 1809, not the 1807 as I have above, but his death record seems to support 1807 (died age 82).

NOTE: The caption for the picture of the John Prudham house on the Halinet link below has been corrected.  It now no longer says the house was destroyed in 2005.
Thanks to a cousin who lives nearby who contacted the site.  She verified to them that the house still stands.

I'm quite sure the records I have state that John Prudham talked about a sister named Tamar. Does anyone else know anything about this?

I can only find  1 Tamar Prudom on Ancestry, a death index from 1865. It could be her. It is of the right time frame. She was older than John Prudham.

If anyone has any information let us know!!

A cousin of mine tells me there was a brother to John.  Perhaps another clue.  I have been unable to trace anything on it.
Mark used the last name PRODHOM and pronounced it as such.
He also came to Canada, but later returned to England.  A neighbor of my cousin returned from a trip to England with a picture of his gravestone.
When my cousin gets back from winter vacation in Florida she says she will forward it to me.  At that time I will post it.
