Well done Helen! :)

With two bingo wins on one thread, I hope you will be my guest at a local Mecca club one evening - you're obviously very good at the game!! :) :) :)

Mining prospector is quite a job - and I notice he is down as an 'employer'  - for a 27 year old.  Wonder if there's any trace of a company on the web?

cheers

Paul

Hi Paul,

Of course I'll be your guest!!!!!
I wasn't sure what a Mining Prospector was but I figured it sounded pretty good.  Do you know what it means exactly then?

Hi Wendy,
No problem at all.  I'm quite enjoying your Hargreaves family.

OK, Thomas and Lucy are at the following addresses:

1871 - Blooming typical I can't access the actual page, but they're definitely in Castle Church, Stafford, Staffordshire

1881 - 33 Castle Terrace, Castle Church, Stafford, Staffordshire

1891 - 1 Talbot Road, Castle Church, Stafford, Staffordshire

1901 - Can't yet find them.  Had they died by 1901?

Ok, on to the burials.  The council won't be able to help if they aren't buried in a Council owned Cemetery.  I think it's worth trying them though.  I googled 'Newcastle County Council' and looked for 'burial records' and found the following email address:

webmaster@newcastle-staffs.gov.uk

Just give them names and dates and cross your fingers!!

I'd also try writing to the Vicar at the church you may have in mind.  Worth a try!

Better go as my 3yr old won't let me type! - arrghhhh!

Oh by the way, I was surprised to hear you're so far away!

Regards
Helen x

Hi Wendy,

I've now found Lucy in 1901.

She is a widower, still living at 1 Talbot Road, Stafford.

She's with daughter Mary, born around 1877.

Hi Helen,

Just to let you know that I sent an email off to the Newcastle County Council, so I will let you know when or if I get an answer.

Gotta go to bed it is very late, I have to get up to go to work tomorrow. I work in a child care centre and when I am not there I work as a Teachers Aid. Anyway Goodnight it is nearly Monday morning here in Tassy.

Wendy

Hi Helen,

No such luck with the Staffordshire County Council.

They sent me another link which I went to, but it only told me that the cemetery records are on CD Rom and that I had to book in to use their computors to see them.
Ha,Ha,Ha
I did them that I was from Tassy, along way to go for just a look.  ::)

Anyway it was worth a chance, Helen so thanks.

Any other ideas?

You know what they say "where's there's a will there's a way".

I hope all is well from your end so until next time.

Take Care

Wendy

Wendy,

What a shame.

I don't really have any other ideas at the momet.  Like I've suggested before though, I'd at least write to the vicar at the church.

All the best

Hello Helen & Tati,

Thanks for the info. I will get in contact with St George's Church and see what I can find out. Who knows, something wonderful just might happen.

Thanks for everything

Wendy
