Hi

I'm also puzzled about the dates and locations of the births and marriages.

Andrew Ferguson and Barbara Gordon married in Lugar, Ayrshire in 1927. Note no Smith on the marriage index for Andrew.  Are you sure that you have the right parents?

As Seoras says, information from Rebecca Ferguson's marriage (or birth) certificate(s) would be the best next step for you.

Unfortunately both of these are too recent to view online. Are you close to one of the larger Registry Offices in Scotland, where you can view them?  Otherwise you'll have to order them from the GROS.

Best regards

added - I see that Monica suggested gettting the birth cert on your  other thread http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,528725.0.html

Hi again

So far, I don't see a death for Rebecca in Scotland. There are possibles for Rebecca Ferguson  but the other surnames don't match with your information.    Do you have any information on  her death?

There is a tree on Ancestry for Rebecca but there are no sources  given for her marriage/birth/parents' marriage apart from what would be obtained from SP indexes.

Here it has her death as 1966 Mexborough, England. Parents down as dying in New Zealand.

PS - just noticed that it's your tree

Added -  you really must try and get hold of (purchase or a visit to Scotland)   the marriage and birth certs or you won't really be able to proceed much further and I don't think you have the correct parents. While some of us don't mind using the odd credit to look at online certs, these are 'order only' and more expensive.
