Many thanks althea, Janette and crisane for your helpful replies.

You have given me much food for thought on other Sinnamons who came
from Bleary , County Down.  The information will probably keep me occupied
for the remainder of our winter    ;)

I presume that nothing could be traced on a Jim (?) Thompson who may have
resided with a Sinnamon family from about the 1930s onwards.

Thre are a lot of Jim Thompson's
I have just looked at 1935 and there are alot of Sinnamon at Poolburn in the electoral roll
in that roll there was no Jim Thompson at same place...several other areas of central otago

Have you looked at the pay per view passenger sites to see what year he came to NZ..middle names,,age etc would all help
Bye

Hi are you connected to the Sinnamon family in Poolburn/Central Otago?

They owned the neighbouring farm to my Love family.... A few years ago we were lucky to hear from Mr Sinnamon before he passed away - he remembered my GG grandparents vividly!

I just visited the area in Dec, happy to send you some more info if this is your lot :)

Cheers,
Anita
