Parents of Jeremiah Atkinson and Mary Atkinson nee Flowers

Robert was born in 1799, at Hartburn and Elizabeth was born in 1797 at chollerton. They married on 4th November 1820, hartburn. They had a son called robert in 1823 and John in 1840. We believe that Robert (father) died in June 1869, age 70. We are looking for the death of Elizabeth and also Elizabeth's parents, Please.
Also looking for the death of Jane Atkinson nee Neal, the mother of Jeremiah. Jane born in 1833, county Armagh. Lived in Cockfield, married Robert Atkinson 29th may 1852, At all saint's church, Newcastle upon tyne. Robert was born 1823, died 1906. Jane's father was John, he was a mariner.

I'm not sure where you get the death date for Robert as being in 1906 as Jane was already a widow in 1891- see reply #16 on the above thread, where I suggested that Robert died in 1889.

Sorry but we could not find Jane in 1891 census, we got confused over Robert. Still looking for the death of Jane, can any one help?
Tried to get marriage certificate for Robert Atkinson and Elizabeth nee Glendinning? As we want to find out thier parents, but records don't go back to 1820, when they got married. Many thanks

Before registration started in  1837 there were no marriage certificates, just the parish entry record, ufortunately  no parents were given on these, only the couples, names, status, whether of the parish (only at the time it took place) date and witnesses.

The Elizabeth Glendinning born  17.7 1796 Chollerton has parents  Thomas Glendinning and Elinor Wilkinson.

Sorry but we could not find Jane in 1891 census, we got confused over Robert. Still looking for the death of Jane, can any one help?

It would really be better if you kept your enquiries about Jane on the other thread I mentioned in reply #30, otherwise things will get very muddled. I had already made some suggestions about looking for her death on there some time ago.

Was there any mention of Roberts parents on the marriage certificate to Elizabeth Glendinning?
