Parents of Jeremiah Atkinson and Mary Atkinson nee Flowers

Looking for details of the parents of Jeremiah Atkinson and his wife, Mary Flowers. They got married in Teesdale in sept 1872. They had two daughters, Mary Jane and Annie and a son called Robert. Jeremiah went to America in 1880 and left Mary and the children in England. Thank you

Of the three Jeremiah's living in Co Durham in 1871 I chose this one because they are resident in Cockfield where the first 3 children of Mary in my first post were born. Also the names Robert and Jane are there. BUT the marriage certificate is the sure way to know you are following the correct family. None of this may be relevant.

Father Jeremiah, no mothers name given.

The date you have for this is Aug 1751, is that a typo?  I can't find a bpt for jeremiah on familysearch 1850 - 1853 although there is an 1880 US census for one born 1853. he is a miner living in Black Hawke Colorado. However no image available and just says born England.

Hi Rayaco. How do you know that your Jeremiah was born in Durham? I can't see one in 1861 or 1871 born in Durham in the right age bracket 1852 +/- 2. If he lived in Durham from a young age he just may have thought he was born there.

Rayaco.... do you have the 1872 marriage certificate, that should show Jeremiahs age at marriage also his fathers name, witnesses names can be be very useful.

That information would give us something concrete to go on.
