Name & date these Victorian bits please

Slightly off piste! These were handed down with the CDV, probably came from my grandmother Lavinia. She worked in a hatworks and other family members were working in the cotton mills. Has anyone any idea what they are? The one with the big loop at the end is silver. Thanks. Jim

The chain I would say is for hanging pinz nez glasses.

First mark on the hallmarks is the makers mark.It could be Adie and Lovekin,in which case it would have been assayed in Birmingham or Chester.Next along is the standard mark for sterling silver.The third and fourth if you could make them out would give you the city it was made in and the date.

it's a glove hook C.1914.

The glove hook & chain may go together,it depends on how long the chain is.

Many thanks for that Jim... the two attachments were on the chain clasp, but whether they orginated at the same time I wouldn't know. By the way... how does a glove hook work? Are these the gloves that go right up the arm? Jim

I believe Jim that the hook went through the buttonhole,over the button and then pulled the button through the hole to fasten it.

Not that I wear elbow length silk gloves you understand.
