hi pamela
it,s no problem that,s why we do this it keeps the little grey cells working , i,ve been having another look round and found a death for a jean jay, bristol glocs 1987, born 1 march 1934 vol22 page 480 reg no 687 now this is pure speculation wether it is your jean or not also looked for a leslie jay but couldn,t see one in find my past or free bmd .
now the other thing i should have thought of yesterday whilst running on about passenger records was the fact that although both incoming and outgoing passenger records cut off in 1960 it is possible that leslie and jean flew to rhodesia in 1954 hence why there is no record for them it no doubt was more expensive but is a real possibility .
i also did a google search for rhodesian records and zimbabwean but didn,t get far although there is this site
www.lind.org.zw/genweb/index.htm have a look at it as there is a find a friend or relation section where you can leave a message as well as a gen web forum , see what you think .
best wishes
