I have also located this entry on a google search under the name Bockerah and wonder does some body out there have " Michael Flynn book"? as apprently in his book "The Second Fleet' devotes nearly a page to Ann and Solomon Bockerah. I would very much like to no what was mentioned

Solomon and Ann are my 7th great gandparents through my grandmother i am searching for Solomon and have found Ann they had a daughter Sarah that was burred at Devon Shine/Sand Hills Cemetery which is now Central station Sydney, Solomon Also was burred there and i fear they are still under there but will keep looking, as for Ann i have found her, if you wish to talk.

Devonshire St / Sand Hills burials were, I believe, exhumed and reburied out at Botany Bay.
MAJM will probably be along with more precise details.

NSW BMD index has her burial at St James Sydney.

Thanks. I wasn’t sure where “St James” actually is or was. St James church in King St, plots around the church? I thought maybe Central Railway and then relocated. But the church sounds more feasible. I thought St John’s in parramatta was the oldest cemetery in Australia, where Ann Buckrel (Bockerah) is buried. St James may not have been a cemetery as such, just a convenient burial ground.
