Ann Lincoln (maiden name unknown) married 1827 in Hadleigh

I have Ann Lincoln marrying my 5xGreat Grandfather Thomas Mansfield in 1827 at St James the Less, Hadleigh

She is a widow and he a widower.

I have been trying to find her maiden name, but can't find a previous marriage. Tried looking for possible children from  previous marriage and there was a William and Ann Lincoln, around Leigh on Sea, but they were still having children in 1832 so I dont think that is them.

Which parish do you think I should try looking at for marriages, I could see anything for Hadleigh.

Can anyone else find her previous marrriage?

it,s hadleigh Essex , I,ve already checked parish register from 1754-1812 and apart from the marriage for Thomas  and ann  , I couldn,t see any other Lincoln marriages in those years .

Did you note when the marriage was as I couldn't see one for that William and Ann? Just incase the births after 1827 are a different William and Ann, although probably unlikely.

Maybe I should look at deaths in Hadleigh, to try to find a possible husband.

There is a burial for a William Lincoln aged 50 in 1820 at Hadleigh St James the Less, so perhaps the marriage between William Lincoln and Ann is the one I am looking for.

Can you remember the date if the William Lincoln to Ann marriage you saw?

the marriage for Thomas  and ann was 2nd april 1827 , witnesses Daniel mansfield and sarah Mansfield .
I haven,t found any Lincoln marriages in hadleigh - Rayleigh- south Benfleet- or eastwood parishes from approx. 1795 through till 1827 .

Ahh yes I have that marriage, I was looking for the marriage of Ann to William Lincoln to try and determine her maiden name. Unfortunately I have no idea when they would of married.

I also can't find a death for Ann Mansfield, and I know she was no longer alive in 1841 as Thomas Mansfield is on his own again as a widow. Unfortunately don't know Ann's approx date of birth as have nothing with her age.

If she did marry the William Lincoln I found the death for, then he was born abt 1775, so could be anywhere from about 1792 onwards.

There are some baptisms for children to a William and Ann Lincoln in Leigh on sea, but not idea if that is the correct couple and there appears to be a child baptized in 1832 in Leigh in sea which would not coincide with what I am looking fork but I suppose the 1832 baptism could be a different William and Ann Lincoln couple.

He is in South Benfleet, he dies in 1845. I had a look at the burials for St Benfleet and couldn't see her there, unless I missed her.
