I wish I knew what George Henry Thomas Walpole and Francis H T Hammon were doing living with katherine in wansworth.

Especially Francis as he lived with her for a long time it seems. I can't find a will for him though in the probate register to see if there is any connection :-(

Perhaps he was just lodging or maybe a close friend of the family

Not many of us have paid for this site, some of the records already appear on FindMyPast and I believe it is mostly USA based.  There are quite a few Military Lists on FindMyPast that show an H J Sharpe but they would mainly only show their army number and regiment with no other identification

Parents John Smith Sharpe and Katherine Sarah Tanner.

So it looks like the right people.

Now if I could just find out what happened to Maurice and his brother....

I haven't yet anything to establish a concrete link between the two though. Hoping i might be able to locate a current address for RM if he i still alive. Might be the only way to see what happened to them....

You don't say where RMS was born?
If in this country, when did MAS return from South Africa?
When & where did he marry?
