Hi Ian:

I think I am good on this family!  However, if you can come across a newspaper obituary in Sweden for Carl and or Margareta, that would be great. Only if it's not too much work.

Thanks again,

Paul

I can't promise anything as I do not search for such info usually. But I'll see what I can dig up.

Ian:

I just found this from 1922!  Unfortunately, I cannot access issues in May 1923 when Carl (Charles) Bjorklund died.

If you can do a quick internet search in Sweden for him, that's great. I don't know if you have access to old Swedish newspapers and if they are searchable.  But if nothing comes up quickly, no problem.  We can move on.  Thanks again,  Paul

Ian:

I am researching Karolina Josefsdotter seen here in 1871-1880 in Mossebo:

https://app.arkivdigital.se/production/index.html?aid=v14997.b45.s39&page=main/index

She is line 16, born 3 Aug 1858 in Norra Hestra.

It says she went to America in 1880 which I believe is correct from my research of her in the US.  I am having trouble finding her moving out record.  Can you find it?

I have a possible record of her sailing from Gothenburg to Hull on 26 March 1880 (see attached).  Do you agree?  I searched records from Liverpool to New York in April or May 1880 with one possibility in late April (the 27th), but it could be wrong.

Thanks,

Paul

Hi Paul

You have the right record for her from the previous post.

Here is her moving out record - nr 7:
Tranemo B:2 (1861-1894) Bild 116 / sid 292 (AID: v14718.b116.s292, NAD: SE/GLA/13570)

Here is her date leaving Gothenburg:

Thank you! That helps a lot. Her last name is a little odd because it was based off of her father's middle name.

Ian:

Can you tell me about Olga Kristina...#21?  Is her mother Anna Sofia Andersson (to the right)?  Was she adopted by Anders Fredrik and Maria Josefina? I can't make out the writing across the page.
