 Good Evening.I have found my Great Grandfather George Hawkins from Yorkshire North(Pudsey) where he was married to Mary with 5 children.(Horace,Walter,Lily,Doris and Beatrice)   I now have some leads telling me he was born in Saint Neots,Eaton Socon to George and Mary Hawkins in 1868.I am now looking for more info on his Parents and possible Brothers and Sisters.All directions to refererences in the Saint Neots,Eaton Socon area from years 1868 to late 1880's will be greatly appreciated.Thank You John Hampton.

George's birthplace listed HUN Eaton that might possibly lead me to Saint Neots area.I have seen George listed in Yorkshire North records as early as 1891 but none previous and trying to find where he may have lived in his younger years.Thank You very much for your help.   John H.

Looking at your link and also the baptism record for Walter (born 14 Oct 1890, baptised 2 Aug 1891)
it would appear that George was called George Larkin Hawkins.

Have you found George's marriage to Mary Noble?

George 'Larking' Hawkins married Mary Noble in 1889 in Ossett. His father's name George Hawkins, Labourer. He was 22.

You should be able to search both earlier census records and the General Register Office births (the latter to find his mother's maiden name) -- this will enable you to pick up other children of his parents.

As George worked on the Railways, maybe he moved with his job to Yorkshire.
