Grace Inglis

Hello I am trying to get some information on my Granny's Cousin, Grace Inglis she was born 1906, Edinburgh Scotland, now she was still in Scotland 1951, after that she disappeared, I went on to Ancestry found her there in Australia on a Private Members tree, (they want give out anything about her).
i do not know what part of Australia she came to. so any help or how i go about finding her would be great.

There is no 1906 birth on SP for Grace Inglis but there are 2 in 1907 - neither in Edinburgh.  Was Inglis her birth name or her married name?

The tree shows her birthdate as 13.1.1904 and also 1906.  It also shows she married James Wardrop and SP has the marriage as 1926 so you may want to check it’s the same Grace.

If it is - you are looking for Grace Wardrop - not Grace Inglis and the tree shows she died 1984

Thank you for getting in touch.
Her right name is Gracie she was born 1906 at Liberton, Midlothian on SP ( Liberton is part of Edinburgh) she went on to marry James Wardrop 1926, they got divorced 1951. when she got married to James her name was Grace.
The name I seen on Ancestry was Grace Inglis, the tree was private, I think she went to Australia.

She may or may not have married again after 1951.  The tree shows a death in 1984 but no details as to where she died. 

If I were you I would contact the tree owner for more info

there is a death of a Grace INGLIS in Victoria in 1984 but I don't think she is the correct lady as it says she was born in Adelaide.

Definitely not the right one as Grace had no middle name.  The tree on Ancestry is private so minimal info available

The owner of the tree is contactable via Ancestry

Is there a death under Wardrop?

I haven't found one ... 

I also looked for a marriage for Grace/Gracie INGLIS/WARDROP in NSW and W.A. without success.  A marriage after 1951 is too recent for other states.

If we knew the parents' names we could do a wildcard search for the death of Grace * with parents Blah and Blah

Grace mother was Margaret Inglis.

Grace's mother Margaret was illegitimate, so was Grace.
I don't know if that will make a difference.
