The family of John Max
« on: Saturday 22 December 18 14:49 GMT (UK) »
I have the marriage of John Max to Maria Carroll in 1857. I would be very pleased to find information on their children or his parents to see if they fit in with my wife's family tree.

Do you have further details of the marriage? Where did it take place? What religion were they?
Have you worked back in your wife’s family?
Do you have dates and places for her tree with the same name?
It would help if you gave some more information.

Religion?

Civil registration of births started in 1864 and at least 2 sons were born after that date- John (1865) & William (1868).

Hi, Is your Max family from Moycarkey or Cloughjordan?
If it's Cloughjordan, (I think it is) they lived in Windmill Street.
Searching sites are down today, but I will look again for you.

I know there is a MAX person living to the west of Cloughjordan.

Thank you all so much for your help. The only other info I have is that they are the parents of John Max and Mary Sheppard. John of John / Mary Sheppard was born in Littleton, Tipperary.
