I found a marriage record in 1879 on family search which appears to have a link to FindMyPast, but when I input the details directly into FindMyPast website it just doesn’t appear.

So I wonder if the marriage records for Llanberis Parish Church for that year are still available on FindMyPast?  I just don’t want to signup for a month if the record is not going to be there!

Thanks for any help.

Thanks so much for looking.  I guess they must of taken it off...I wanted May 1879!

If anyone knows where I can find the marriages for May 1879 online...I would very much appreciate it.  Unfortunately, familysearch only have them on Microfilm...so that’s not much help either.

Thanks.

If Family Search and FindMyPast don't have it, it's unlikely. I had a look through the Gwynedd FHS publications last nigth but they don't have Llanberis marriages. They would be at the National Library, Aberystwyth.

Are you sure it's a C of E/W marriage? If it was Registry Office or non-conformist, it would be in the RG4 series, which is on FindMyPast* or, possibly, FreeReg. Otherwise, you might have to order the certificate from the GRO. Do you have them on the FreeBMD index?

What names do you have?

Yes, I've asked for the names on my previous post.

Sharron ~ I said that the non-conformist records (RG4-8) were on FindMyPast. They are also on FamilySearch:

http://www.northwalesbmd.org.uk/ usually gives the name of the church or indicates if it was civil

e.g. - 1879
DAVIES Samuel = WILLIAMS Catherine Nant Peris, St Peris Gwynedd (Caernarfon)   CAEC5/01/E222

JONES Peter - WILLIAMS Anne E A Nant Peris, St Peris   Gwynedd (Caernarfon) CAEC5/01/E221

JONES Ann - OWEN John Caernarfon, Civil Marriage Gwynedd (Caernarfon) CAE/20/E124

I've just run a check on your first two entries. DCB, and they're not on FindMyPast. There seems to be something odd about the 1870s entries  :-\

The civil marriage, isn't on the RG4s so most likely a Reg Office.  It is on the GRO civil marriages.
