Hi

My grandad was born in Scarborough and his name was William Tindale.  His Father [my great grandfather] was Jacob Tindale and his mother was Catherine Ann.  When he was born in 1898 they lived at Diamond Cottage, Quay Street, Scarborough.

Hi Patsy,

Great photo!

Unfortunately, I can't connect any Tindales to Scarborough at the moment but I'll certainly let you know if I do.

My greatgrandfather Joseph Underwood was married twice. After the death of his first wife he married MARY ELIZABETH TINDALE born 1880  -  Danby 24.10.1906. Name of the father: DALES TINDALE, engine driver.
Greetings, Christina

Hi Christina,

I'm not sure where Danby is? My Tindalls were in East Yorkshire in villages around Hull.

My grandfather was William Tindale and was born in Scarborough.  Does this fit with your ancestors?
