Yes I can believe it. A few years back I renewed my membership at full price, a short while later ancestry contacted me to say they had a offer on and would refund me the difference which they did.

Great another success at getting membership at a reasonable cost.

It set me in panic mode, my old grey cells could not be sure if our account is still showing auto renewal.

It is showing …… Expiring 14 July

So that is OK, this is what the renewal cost options are showing.

We usually get the Worldwide for £89.99

I have never known anyone get an auto renewal for £89-99 Worldwide.

Think you need to make sure it doesn't auto renew and you pay full price.

Easy to cancel membership so that it doesn't auto-renew, it will still run until your expiry date.

Yes, but make sure you have cancelled auto renewal BEFORE your subscription expires. As Sandra says above your current subscription runs till its expiry date. I just gave  it one day after it ran out then used the link but I cancelled the auto renew option several weeks ago. You’ll find it in your account settings .
