Looking for mother William Sandford

Hi, I am looking for mother of William Sandford born c1828/29 Newcastle Under Lyme Staffordshire. His father was John Sandford c1811 Ireland. Baptised 09/11/1828 Newcastle Under Lyme. I have not viewed baptism record.

Alice's baptisms - 1824 - cannot see an occupation (different record set)

William's baptism - 1828 - John is a Gardiner (sic)

Robert's baptism - 1834 - John is a Traveller

1841 census - Commercial traveller

It later years my ancestor John Sandford c1811 born Ireland occupation listed as Gardener & Traveller. ? Cheesemonger ?? could be a seller of cheese as he travelled.
