So i have established my gfx6 is John Ellis who married Sussanah Wilson in Wellington 1763, problem is 2 Johns are candidates, one born 1739 and the other 41, need to eliminate one but cant find either a death or marriage for one of them in the 1760s. Only thing i have is a death cert for a John 1826 living at Rock aged 88 or 89 which would fit to the 39 John, but the other is a mystery....

Needless to say the death cert doesnt give his spouse

John Ellis to Susanna Wilson

John & Susanna had the following children in Wellington.

John 1764, Thomas 1766, Sus 1768, John1770

John & Elizabeth had a large number of children in Wellington including Richard 1773.

I would guess he was the one born 1739.

On family search, there is a burial in Wellington for John age 52 on 27 April, sadly the year is not clear but it was about 1792, you can check the OPR.
