Hi Colin,

Yes I have the marriage registration, such as it was in 1852, so the death information of Jean confirms that I had the correct marriage.
Now I will look for children!

Yes I use Scotlands People for most of my research but it sometimes helps to have someone else look at it from another viewpoint as they notice something that I hadn't!

Again thanks for your help on this.  I'm sure I'll be back with more queries in the near future.

Regards,
Audrey

Good luck Audrey. By the way I noticed that there were quite a number of children listed on the 1841 census and a few on the 1851 but without the original it was difficult to work out the relationships.

Hi Colin,

I'm good with the 1841 and 1851 censuses as I can account for everybody and their relationships.

By the way I have now found two children definitely born to Jean Ferguson and Alexander McEwan.  There could be more though...

Once again thanks for your input on this.

Regards,
Audrey
