where do I find imfo or records on 2 generations of  Joseph  Longs, who were  engine/firemen, who I assume were locomotive/steam, and were on the railways ???.
joseph long born 1857 norwich who married louisa marina  curtis.
joseph long 1878=eliza maud stubbs, of wymondham.
the certificates are the only proof,  of these men I have.

I am not exactly  sure what it is you are asking, but here they are in 1881

Senior Joseph can easily be followed through census to 1911

He wasn’t always on the Railways.

In 1901 and 1911 Joseph senior is a stoker at a brush works, so no railway connection there.

Mike

Added, in 1911 Joseph junior now married to eliza is a finisher at brush works
