where do I find imfo or records on 2 generations of  Joseph  Longs, who were  engine/firemen, who I assume were locomotive/steam, and were on the railways .
joseph long born 1857 norwich who married louisa marina  curtis.
joseph long 1878=eliza maud stubbs, of wymondham.
the certificates are the only proof,  of these men I have.

Senior Joseph can easily be followed through census to 1911

He wasn’t always on the Railways.

In 1901 and 1911 Joseph senior is a stoker at a brush works, so no railway connection there.
