Thanks for that Newbie - the writing is driving me nuts

About Joseph's snr's age - I was thinking as I was going through that on some pages the enumerator seems to be following the 1841 rule about rounding ages down to the multiple of 5 below (so Joseph could be 55 to 59) but on others he's quite clearly giving an actual age (like for Prudence Trollop mentioned elsewhere at 92). All adds to the 'challenge'

Extra Adlams - we have a candidate for son Henry -

Martha Adlam - 28 - Unreadable occupation, looks like Ford or Tool!!! - Y
You didn't mention her but since she was nearbyI thought I'd better include her.

I don't think you wanted another Thomas of the same age.... wonder why he wasn't working?
I had a hunt for Harriett Marsh but couldn't find her. Doesn't mean she isn't there, given the writing quality so I'll have another look tomorrow. I found 4 Marsh families, one of which was a Harriett but she was clearly 12 years old - a little young for marriage even then? What puzzles me is that the census appears to be dated 26 June 1841, at least that's when it was signed up, so surely Thomas and Harriett would be married by then?
A few more puzzles for you

Please let me know if there are any others I can look up. I've been looking a bit in surrounding villages but some villages seem to be missing, which doesn't help.
Best wishes
Angela
