There are actually a few Britton/Garland births in Keynsham but will mention this one just in case she is the marriage witness.

Elsie May Britton born Mar 1904

There's an Elsie Britton/George Hawkins marriage in 1923 Keynsham.

This Elsie gives her father's name as George, a shoemaker, when she married George HAWKINS on 3 March 1923 at Downend, Gloucester..

This Elsie is in Kinsgwood, Gloucester in 1911 aged 7 with parents George and Florence. George was a shoemaker and Florence's mn GARLAND. Other siblings Herbert 9, Ethel 5 and Ellis 3. They are all given as being born in Kingswood.

This family appears in a few trees on Ancestry.

Was Ethel's brother's name put on her marriage instead of her father's, or perhaps her father was called George but known as Herbert.
