Hi Trish. I have all that thanks, but as you say, no sign of Mary pre 1891. That is my problem. Who is she? That is why I need the marriage certificate to find her father. She does leave her estate to an Elizabeth Hoggart, plus her son, named as sons Aunt, but can't see the connection.

Have you seen Robert and his aunt in 1901?

Terrible transcription on Ancestry,they are in Gateshead.

Elizabeth Haggart   60 widow
Dawson Haggart   40 son Brass finisher
Peter William Haggart   37 son Iron founder
Robert Ernest Gallery   14 nephew

In 1891 they are in Coburg Street Gateshead,

Elizabeth Hoggart widow 50
Joseph D son 30
William P son 28

If Grace is a sister to Mary then Grace Bargoss Hoggett was born 2.10.1857, baptised 29.11.1857 and her parents George & Mary. Occ Labourer, abode South Shields
