1841: Quinlan, Mary
« on: Monday 15 August 22 19:03 BST (UK) »
Evening all,

I'm looking for Mary Quinlan and her husband William.

Timeline of things I DO know about her (and family)

b. abt. 1817 as Mary Mitchell (possibly in Ireland)
m. 8/10/1938 St. Giles in the East, Middlesex to William Quinlan
1841: 3 children b. March 1841; Bridget, Catherine, Julia.
1844: 1 child John.

I've got Mary on the 1851 census.
Living in King Street, St Giles.

I think William and Mary are both born in Ireland.
I'm finding it hard to find this census AND their births.

Thanks

All girls born before the 1841 census then - where were they born as that is close to census date so can look for that area/address?
Hinchliffe - Huddersfield Wiltshire

Are all the little girls still alive after 1841?

Per GRO Julia & Catherine born Jun 1841.  Haven't found Bridget but Mary born Dec 1838.

Catharine Quinlan
Age:    6 months
Death Date:    12 Sep 1841
Burial Date:    12 Sep 1841,    Saint Giles in the Fields

Address Clarks Buildings

If six months old they should be on 1841 census

However it looks like Mary won;t be on 1841

Mary Quinlan
Age:    2 months
Burial    24 Jan 1837, St Giles in the Fields

Address Drury Lane

Scrap that - predates the birth registration!

The burial information gives us an address to look for at least.

I did wonder if they were in workhouse 1841 :-\

Went to bed shortly after posting last night as still feeling rough.

Thought it'd be helpful the actual dates I have. All, apart from Mary Ann, are from the St Patrick's RC Church, Soho Square, Middlesex.

I have the birth certificate of Mary Ann Quinlan mother Mary nee Mitchell and father William.
b. 27/08/1838 - King Street St Giles. Bap. 16/09/1838 St Patrick's RC, Soho.

Catherine - b. 21/03/1841 bap. 04/04/1841 St Patrick's RC, Soho
Julia - b. 21/03/1841 bap. 04/04/1841 St Patrick's RC, Soho

The area they lived in the Soho, St Anne's, Drury Lane, St Giles area
