Here is that birth.

Have you had a query about Elizabeth before? If so, it would be good to link that thread so there is no duplication of information.

Is Terence your ancestor? If so where do you have him in later records?

There is a baptism here - possibly Nov 20th 1866, which is before the date of birth on the civil record but that is not unusual. However, the mother is Eliza McConnell.

This links back to an old thread on Rootschat

In your recent post there, you say he is your great uncle so it might be best to start with your direct ancestor who is a sibling to Terence.

There is a marriage here - really difficult to read - it would be the day before Terence’s baptism, I think.

https://registers.nli.ie/registers/vtls000633212#page/3/mode/1up

19th November 1866
Andrew Gray and Eliza McConnell
Her residence is Millfield, I think, which matches some/all of those baptisms and Terence’s birth.

I wonder if Rogers was an error in recording.

The marriage shows Eliza’s parents as John McConnell and Mary Lakin ??? Of Randalstown, maybe.

Hello Heywood, thank you for your help,I did  not link in with last posts because I genuinely thought Eliza 's surname was Rodgers,so I did not link in past post with surname McConnell became I did not know Andrew Gray was married to Eliza McConnell, although reading your posts the McConnell surname does seem much more likely,I thank you so much for the information you have given me and I definitely did no want to appear to be wasting your time, apologies if you think I have, kind regards Dean

No you haven’t wasted my time. I enjoy the searching,  :)
I must say, I haven’t read through that other thread properly so I don’t know if the information was completed there.

Thank you for your understanding Heywood,I have read through both lots of posts, the surname McConnell really does sound right but I am not 100% convinced yet, which dealing with history is probably not unusual, will try and dig further to see if the Rodgers or McConnell surname is the most realistic, thank you again Heywood, kind regards Dean
