Info only at present. All of William & Maggie's children have mmn as Taylor apart from George William Dent who has mmn Charlton. 1921 records pob as Ebchester which comes under the Lanchester reg district.

I’ve just skimmed though but his birthplace was in Co Durham,
N.O.K. was his mother Margaret Dent  and the family lived in Rosyth so this record ticks a fair few boxes for  the eldest child of William Jacob and Maggie

My thinking is William Jacob Dent was actually born Jacob Dent in 1860, not to be confused with his older brother William Bunyon Dent. Also a sibling called Clifford.
