Well it was short, but very sweet.
Winifred was in Bermuda, and was now Mrs. Ruberry.

Thank you. Yes. Of course now I want to know where and when they married.  :) I have found him in the navy.

The year of the will? We shall never know because the solicitors omitted the final number ie 193-?

Slightly puzzled as to why you think the date is incomplete.  It says One thousand nine hundred and thirty therefore 1930. 

Is there some other reason why it can't be 1930?

Below is Winifred's birth record from the GRO

DEAN, WINIFRED  HARRIET     SITTERS 
GRO Reference: 1899  D Quarter in PLYMOUTH  Volume 05B  Page 187

You can obtain this as a pdf for £7 from the GRO and by doing so will be able to ascertain her birth date.

Someone on Ancestry has in their tree a Rita Isobel Rubery (married name Sims) b 1923 Somerset, Bermuda. No parents listed, but fits your info?
