John Belcher birth?
« on: Friday 14 July 23 01:27 BST (UK) »
Hi
I am looking for the birth of John Belcher in about 1807 at Bexhill East Sussex.  John joined the 31st Regiment of Foot. I have his records.

On another record I have gives John Belcher's birth as Peaks Hill in Purley Surrey??

Information from his death certificate gives his father as Joseph Belcher of the 1st Royal Regiment of Foot.  Mother is Hester.

Any clues to his parents or other siblings would be apricated.
This maybe a brickwall???
Regards

I have searched for a John Belcher in the Church of Bexhill, East Sussex with nothing.

On the other hand, there is William Belcher who was born on February 22nd, 1807 in Bexhill to Joseph and Hetty Belcher. He was baptized on March 8th, 1807. Here is the record:

Hi HistoricalGenealogy

Thanks I had not picked anything for Bexhill.
I can not see the record if you posted anything.

I have a FindMyPast sub. Is that where you found it?
