William McCracken aged 8 on 1841 census Ballantrae

1841 census Ballantrae: Samuel 50 ag lab  Ireland & Jean Skilling 50 BIC, their son Alexander 15 NBIC, Mary Garrat 4 BIC [she is the daughter of Eilzabeth Skilling - daughter of Samuel and Jean - who is living elsewhere] & William McCracken 8 BIC.

I can find no baptism or burial for William on SP or familysearch or further censuses with a William McCracken born in Ayrshire. There are several born in Wigtownshire.

Can any other eyes find a baptism, burial or census for him please? My thoughts are that he MAY be another of Elizabeth's children and may have died before the 1851 census.

Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.
